Successful Journey

A school of beautiful salmon can be seen above your head in the walkway between the Convention Centres. It is a work by Joseph Wilson of the Coast Salish First Nation and his brother. It reflects the crucial importance of the salmon to the life and culture of the Coast Salish.

Words on the plaque in the hallway describe the journey and return home of the Salmon: "Facing many dangers from the time they leave to the time they return, the Salmon who return to spawn have had a successful journey, accomplishing their life's mission."

Location:Walkway, Vancouver Convention Centre BC, Canada
